The itinerary of the excursion:

9.00 am Meeting with the guide in Milo at Bar del Sole (or directly at Rifugio Citelli) and initial welcome briefing. Departure with vs. car at the starting point for the excursion: Sartorius Mountains.

9.30 am Start of the walking route to discover the Sartorius Mountains, extinct craters formed in 1865. We will cross a particular birch forest typical of the Etna area and discover the flora and fauna endemic to the volcano. Based on your needs and your desire for adventure you can go through the entire button panel or make one or two rings.
During the walk, children will be able to discover the volcano by playing with experiments, games and illustrations. Family team games and fun, fun activities.
There will be a moment for a technical break and a snack.

12.00 At the end of the excursion along the Sartorius Mountains, we will continue by car (5 minutes) towards the Snow Cave, an extraordinary Etna geological formation of lava flow. Equipped with helmets and torches we will explore the cave, discovering mysteries and legends between scientific explanations on its formation and adventures at the center of the earth!

1.00 pm Lunch break at a small refuge or picnic in the woods (meals not included), at the end transfer by car to the Alcantara Gorges. We will go down from the municipal entrance and after 200 steps (first down, then up) we will reach the famous gorges. We will have the opportunity to explain the geological formation of the site and (in summer) to cool off in the icy waters of the river.
