The cost of the service includes:
All services specified in the itinerary:
- play kit (where available- 1 per family)
- helmets and torches for cave entry
- family-friendly naturalistic guide service
- taxes
The cost of the service does not include:
- transfer to/from Etna (own vehicle recommended)
- any entrance tickets, cable car rides, jeep supplements, etc. (not required for our tours) +5 euro for the Crateri Silvestri entrance
- meals, drinks, tips, rentals, and extra equipment
Our tours do not include transportation by car with our guides. The customer must arrive at the meeting point with their own means of transportation or arrange in advance with the organization for a private transfer (extra cost).
Booking and Cancellation Policies
Booking and Payment Terms
To confirm the booking of the Etna Family Tour, a €50 deposit per family is required at the time of confirmation, payable by bank transfer or credit/debit card (Stripe).
The balance is due on the day of the tour and is normally paid in cash.
Upon request and to be arranged in advance, the balance can be paid by card or bank transfer, with a tariff adjustment of €15 per family for EU clients and €20 per family for non-EU clients.
After the deposit has been received, you will receive a confirmation with all tour details.
The reservation can be canceled free of charge by communicating it at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour date.
In case of cancellation after 48 hours from the service date or failure to show up on the morning of the excursion or tour, no refund will be provided.
Sicilia Family Tour will fully refund the participation fee without penalties only if the excursion cannot take place due to force majeure, such as adverse weather conditions or volcanic events, provided that the decision is made before the service date.
No refund will be given for sudden and unforeseen adverse weather and/or volcanic conditions during the tour.
Sicilia Family Tour reserves the right to make changes to the itineraries even during the excursion, if the naturalistic guide deems it necessary or due to force majeure. Sicilia Family Tour disclaims any liability for damages suffered by travelers due to third parties or force majeure. The execution of excursions on Etna is always subject to the decisions of the guide accompanying the group, ensuring the flexibility to change the itinerary based on safety conditions deemed necessary.
Our guides are highly qualified professionals, they do not act as babysitters or entertainers. Active presence, supervision, and direct involvement of parents are essential to ensure the safety and success of the excursion. Maximum respect for the environment is also required: customers undertake not to damage or alter the surrounding nature, including plants, flowers, and trees, and to keep the visited area clean, avoiding leaving waste behind."
